Pre-storm season assessment/consultation

Before the storm season hits, our qualified arborists can be contacted to perform an audit on your trees. We have the capacity to assess multiple homes or just one depending on our clients’ needs. Checks include the proximity of trees to dwellings and possible fatigue problems in overhanging limbs. Whilst we have been involved in clean-up work due to storm damage, we find it less costly to be ‘pro-active’ rather than ‘re-active’ when it comes to storms. Our staff can produce a risk analysis to cover High, Medium and Low risk, which can be used to allow budgeting of tree works in order of risk. These audits not only look up at overhanging problems but also can highlight possible damage caused from root systems. In most cases rather than remove the trees we can offer remedial action using techniques like crown reduction to reduce the possibility of collapse.

Tree Removal

Tree removal including Problem / Hazardous Trees

At Access Tree Solutions we find “solutions to your tree troubles”. This sometimes brings us into contact with trees that may be storm damaged or weakened by disease or pests. With our seventeen metre cherry-picker we can carefully remove trees over-hanging dwellings and structures. On the occasion when we can’t manoeuvre our cherry-picker due to limited space, our qualified climbers can climb, cut and lower limbs with roping techniques to ensure a safe and damage free job every time. With twenty years experience working around power-lines, our team can safely remove trees close to electrical infrastructure. We can liaise with Electricity Suppliers and will organise a power outage to the area whilst work is being carried out.

Tree trimming/shaping

Trees are dynamic structures and as such need to be trimmed in such a way as not to unbalance them and also to allow natural growth in a way that enhances each species’ attributes. Tree LoppingTree lopping

When the need arises to remove trees, our team use either the seventeen metre cherry-picker or will climb the tree to bring the tree to the ground. Safety is our number one priority. When necessary, roping techniques are used to lower individual pieces safely to the ground.

Stump grinding

We have two powerful stump grinding machines that can quickly grind any stumps down below ground level. One of the stump grinders can be manoeuvred through small side gates and into yards as necessary. The other stump grinder can be fitted with extra wheels to spread the weight so as not to damage freshly watered lawns. As part of our quote we will allow to grind any stumps that are a result of our team removing trees, as well as any other stumps that our clients may require.

Chipping vegetation

Access Tree Solutions has two Bandit Wood Chippers. One is a mighty 1890 that has a six cylinder turbo charged Caterpillar motor and will chip trees up to approximately 60 centimeters in diameter! It is fitted with a winch to drag the trees to be chipped up to the machine. The other chipper is a Bandit XP90 and whilst a little smaller, this chipper can be pulled by our four wheel drive truck off road into awkward places such as diversion channels and the like. It also has a powerful winch to help drag logs into the chipper.Tree Management Services

Land ClearingLand clearing/Eradication of noxious weeds

With our Mighty Powerful Rayco C100 Forest Mulcher we can clear scrub, regrowth, noxious weeds, under power-lines or new power-line easements, fence-lines and fire breaks. Trees up to 30cm, lantana, rubber vine, and similar woody weeds stand no chance against this machine. Rather than bulldoze or burn the problem vegetation, Access Tree Solutions can mulch the problem and return it into the soil to enhance the moisture retention which provides bio-mass that enriches the soil as well. Erosion can be a problem with other methods of clearing, however the Rayco’s environmentally friendly tracks have a very minimal impact on the soil.

Noxious weed spraying

Traditional methods of noxious weed spraying is labour intensive and entails using vast amounts of herbicide resulting in dead vegetation that can present a fire hazard. We have the ability to use minimal amounts of herbicide after we have mulched it, and can turn your land back into a viable profitable resource cost effectively. How you may ask?? By using our Rayco C100 Forest Mulcher problem vegetation can be turned into chip and mulch. Any vegetation that may re-shoot can be sprayed at a later date with the use of minimal amounts of herbicide. We have a spray rig that can be used on our 4 x 4 dual cab utility delivering herbicide accurately and at just the recommended amount to any re-growth as required.Tree Management Services

Clearing diversion channels

Clearing Diversion Channels

As sometimes required by the Environmental Protection Agency storm water needs to be diverted and treated on some sites before it is released back into natural water ways. To achieve this, diversion channels are constructed. Natural vegetation will grow in these areas and cause problems with the water flow. When it is necessary to clear diversion channels, Acess Tree Solutions has just the right equipment. Our 4 X 4 tipper can traverse off road areas and pull the Bandit XP90 wood chipper to clear over grown diversion channels and the like.

Clearing dam walls

Vegetation on dam walls can be eradicated by using our Rayco C100 Forest Mulcher. No other machine can boast the power to mulch up hill and continue to work with no overheating problems. That, along with a huge powerful winch mounted on the rear allows our machine to clear vegetation on earthen dam walls and help to pull itself out should the need arise. Environmentally friendly triple grouser tracks leave very little disturbance to the soil so there is no erosion problem, only vegetation clear walls when we leave the site.Tree Management Services

Clearing power line easement

Access Tree Solutions has been engaged by Electricity Providers and mine-site owners to clear new power-line easements and for clearing under power-lines. For Access Tree solutions, safety is a priority and our team members are all experienced in working around power-lines, however when necessary, a power outage is arranged so work can be performed safely.

Safety

Access Tree Solutions has an Occupational Health and Safety Policy unique to the arboricultural industry. It has been structured with the help of ArborSafe Australia who is a registered authority in the Australian Tree Industry. Each team member is inducted into the Access Tree Solutions’ workforce and is trained in all aspects of our work. Current first aid, chainsaw, herbicide, climbing, Cherry-picker and driving licences are held by our team. For our clients peace of mind we have current public liability insurance and all of our workforce are covered by Workcover Queensland.
